How to make pancakes

4 easy steps to making the perfect Pancakes


Step 1

100g plain flour

2 large eggs

30ml milk

1 tablespoon sunflower or vegetable oil, make sure to put a little extra for frying

Lemon wedges to drizzle over the pancakes (optional)

Caster sugar to sprinkle over the pancakes (optional)


Step 2

Get the flour, eggs, milk and a pinch of salt and put them into a bowl, large jug or a pot big enough to whisk in, then whisk to a smooth batter. Set whisked batter aside for 30 mins to rest if you have time (recommended), or start cooking straight away.


Step 3

Get a medium frying pan or a crepe pan and put this over some medium heat, carefully wipe it with some oiled kitchen paper. When hot, cook your pancakes for 1 min on each side until golden, keeping them warm in a low oven as you go, if you are want to eat them one by one then no need to store them just move onto step 4.


Step 4

Serve with lemon wedges and sugar, or your favourite filling (try strawberries or Nutella).
